TASHKENT ENCOUNTERS

The Center for Contemporary Arts in Tashkent and its research laboratory (CCA Lab) has launched Tashkent Encounters as a series of public events focusing on art, cinema, music, architecture and performance. The project intends to bring international art professionals to the capital of Uzbekistan where they can take part in engaging conversations on development and nourishing of Central Asian contemporary culture. Each season of Tashkent Encounter focuses on a curated theme disclosed through screenings, concerts exhibitions, lectures, workshops, and talks. The Encounters’ aim is to motivate local art scene by rethinking about contemporary culture of Uzbekistan and by encouraging new connections and establishing cross-cultural networks within local and international contexts.

Due to the COVID pandemic Tashkent Encounters has moved to online platform.
