Lecture by Boris Chukhovich - "Tashkent: new architecture and old city"

Within the framework of the public program of the 1st Pavilion of Uzbekistan at the Venice Biennale of Architecture, an online lecture by the architectural historian Boris Chukhovich "Tashkent: new architecture and the old city" will take place. The lecture will consider the concepts of transforming the "Old City", which Tashkent architects have adhered to since the 1920s, attempts to museumify certain quarters, as well as elements of folk architecture that inspired architects when creating modernist architecture.
